Denon - Another strict contender for thrill-filled AV Receivers is the Denon AVR-1708 on the market at around £350. With 2 x HDMI inputs and the ability to output 7.1 surround sound you will drown in the features and audio experience that this piece of equipment has to offer.

Sony - With Sony's taste for slick design the Sony STR-DA1200ES is one of the best for stereo sound and is very easy to use. Not quite as feature packed as the Onkyo TX-SR605 but with amazing build and a sound output that's hard to beat the Sony is great value at around £400 on the highstreet.
